As for your second question, it is something many people have asked for. I have never done that kind of mod before, and I'm not sure how much work it would be, but I will look into it.
I don't quite understand you, but something tells me 'coat' is not the word you are looking for here. Perhaps you mean you don't like the way the fur over the shoulders of the Sage Robes looks a bit flat?
There are technical reasons for this. Currently, the mod includes only textures, which is great because it will work with any body or armor replacer and it will not affect game performance and loading times etc. If I made new meshes where the fur was more voluminous, I would have to make separate models for all the different body replacers out there and it would just be a hassle for everyone.
Just imagine it is a very thin layer of fur. I might also be able to make it slightly more three-dimensional in the future if I get better at normal mapping.

Whichever mesh/model you use for the Novice and Expert Robes will be used for these robes as well. That means if somebody makes a vanilla armor replacer for 'Lady Body' that changes the Novice and Expert Robes to a new mesh, the Stormcloak Robes will change too.
If you want a sort of guide, look at the Novice and Expert robes ingame. If they look good and seem to fit right, my robes will fit too, seeing as they use the exact same model.

If I thought he wanted to be rude I would not have replied; I'm happy for his input, but nevertheless felt compelled to explain the thinking behind this mod since it seemed he had the wrong idea about it.
I assume when you say it is not unique you mean it is extremely similar to the college robes. In that case, I agree that that is the biggest weakness of this mod. Unfortunately, because of school I do not have the time to learn modelling, so my Stormcloak robe mod will also be based on these two models.
In case you mean it is not unique because there is another mod that adds Imperial Robes I would love to see it, I have been looking for something like that for a long time.
As for dressing up the Legion mages, are there really any Legion mages in the game? I have had conflicting reports on this. I know there is an unused NPC called Imperial Wizard that you can spawn with the console, but I have never had one appear naturally.
There are of course the two fireball-casters in the intro and the Helgen Keep Torturer, but those guys already wear hoods, and look pretty cool as they are. I do have plans to make those hoods playable, with mage friendly stats. Unlike the recruit hood those hoods will be wearable with armor without clipping (in most cases.)
I'm awfully sorry you do not like my mod, but just saying my mod sucks does not help me at all. It is actually quite hurtful, but I will assume that it is just a language issue. You have to tell me specifically what you do not like, so I can make it better!

There have been many requests for new robes in various colours. Maybe I'll work on that after I finish the stormcloak version of this.
