Within the last week, Fallout: New Vegas offline installers were updated (without blue dot for me at least) from 1.4.0.525 (12009) to 1.4.0.525(a) (55068).

There is also an offline standalone patch available for download to take 1.4.0.525 (12009) to 1.4.0.525(a) (55068) so that one does not need to download the entire new installer.

My question is: what changes are in this patch? I cannot find any information elsewhere online and when I try to search for patch histories the most recent information I see is regarding 1.4.0.525, not 1.4.0.525(a).

Seeing how the patch was very small, it must be something very minor.

P.S. Found something in a Reddit post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/fnv/comments/u7a72i/opened_gog_just_now_what_is_this_did_they_just/

"It’s most likely the same patch that Xbox and PlayStation and PC’s got; I believe it has something to do with advertising and domain ownership updates. Not too sure though."

Just wanted to thank you very much for your solution. I had not considered to check the FNV reddit, actually, I hadn't considered there was even such a thing. So, from that description it seems this is like a "non-update" update that can be passed on similar to when GOG installers update the ads that are displayed. Thanks again.
