Supported Mod and Addon Patch summary guide

This guide will clarify what specifically each addon patch or integrated support will do when these mods are loaded with legacy.

Additionally, a full list of Legacy MCM display checklists is shown below

  -Aetherium Armor and Weapons
Hall of lost empires adapts to place a door under the base of the steps that
leads to an exhibit room called the Aetherium Collection where you can
display both varieties of the UNENCHANTED versions of the gold or silver
aetherium items. The aetherium forge display appears inside this new
hall but the original display will need to be manually disabled if it
has already been enabled and the patch installed mid play through.


  -Alternate start - Live Another Life
Legacy has an activator placed at the start spot for the Solitude ship arrival
start for LAL which disables after 12 game hours. If you choose this
start, you get an option for the Relic Hunter start and new starting
equipment.


   -Artifacts: Tournament of Ten Bloods (aka artifacts of Boethiah)
     Sets displays for the artifacts contained in this mod and adapts Legacy's goldbrand reward to avoid duplicates


   -Book Covers Skyrim compatibility pack
(only for OTHER mods that require a BCS patch)


Legacy contains book covers skyrim and book covers skyrim lost library in
their entirety. YOU DO NOT NEED TO AND SHOULD NOT load them in addition
to legacy. These patches are conversion of official book covers skyrim
patches for OTHER mods. So if you use Eloquent reader for example, you
must have a book covers skyrim patch which allow the book to be read
aloud and have the new artwork. Since the official patches require the
original plugin, they do not work with legacy, which is why these
conversions have been made.


  -Captured Fairies
The arboretum in the hall of natural science gets a pair of shelves next to
it where you can place the fairy cages and free the fairies into the
exhibit


  -Cloaks of Skyrim
       Cloaks of Skyrim is supported automatically in Legacy, providing unique cloak displays in the safe house. It also supports CCOR's versions of the Cloaks of Skyrim cloaks.


  -Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul
This patch was provided by another user and as far as I know merely corrects
the natural science gallery displays to utilize new ingredients which
are compatible with the mod.


  -Complete Crafting Overhaul
Patch was made by Hazado, balances gem lists and several ingredients as well as ensures all unique changes from legacy are carried forward if undone
by CCOR. Cloaks of Skyrim via CCOR are automatically supported via Legacy's main mod.


  -Dawnguard Arsenal
Set of patches for adding dawnguard arsenal to the armory dawnguard exhibit. Patches for installs with Heavy armory, immersive weapons or immersive weapons and armor are available. Addition Universal patch for all 4 mods is also supplied separately.


  -Dev Aveza Airship
Legacy has an instanced static version of the airship that has specific ports
you can move the ship to. With the patch, the instanced version is
removed and the original Dev Aveza is used instead. The patch removes
all the Thalmor, removes the scaffold leading up and disables the dock
and ship until after Moonpath's "Rebuilding the Past" quest is done and the guild is built, 5 days after that, Rakis will show up and then the ship and dock are added.

If using the official mod and Legacy patch, the ship has two interior options. The classic version has linked storage with the safehouse just like the default legacy instanced version of the ship does. It also has additional secrets.


  -Disband the Thieves guild
  -
Destroy the Thieves guild
Provides a display alternative and automatic replacement of thieves guild loot so you may steal or purchase it at shops

  -Elemental Dragons
Adds display space for the scales and unique gems obtained from dragons to the Natural Sceince Gallery

  -Falskaar
A quest display is added to the Dragonborn Hall as well as displays for 3 unique weapons

  -The Forgotten City
      Integrated support feature which provides a quest display for the two possible good endings ONLY. Also provides displays for the Arbiter's Helm and amulet of the silver tongue. Armor is recommended to go in the hall of lost empires on one of the raised mannequin stands.

  -Fossil Mining Mod
      opens a display room downstairs from the gallery of natural science to display fossils from the fossil mining mod.

  -Gray Cowl of Nocturnal
A quest display is added to the Dragonborn Hall which also has a display
for all the unique items from the mod EXCEPT the cowl itself which is
stored in the daedric gallery. Item displays can be placed any time.


  -Great jar hunt
A gallery exhibit opens in the hall of oddities for all jars. No spot is provided for the MUS-TARD jar


  -Heavy Armory (CCOR ready)
Adds a multitude of weapon displays to the main armory weapon displays.
There are 3 varieties of patches for this depending on if you use
Immersive weapons, Immersive weapons and armor, or neither. only ONE of
the three patches should be installed.


  -Helgen Reborn
Quest display is added to the Dragonborn Hall as well as a display for the armors and one unique dagger.


  -Hunterborn
Various ingredients are added to the animal part/leather container list in the safe house so they sort properly.


  -Immersive Armors
Provides displays for a handful of unique items in the museum, ensures that
Ulfric's storm lord armor and Tulius' imperial knight armor are
displayable in the civil war display.


  -Immersive College of Winterhold
Moves legacy's Shalidor's cache container on the top of winterhold college,
Adds a display location for the staff of worms and modifies mace of
aevar stonesinger display to accept the legacy version or the ICW
version. Also has code that removes the legacy version if it's not found
yet, and also removes the immersive weapons placement of the mace to
avoid duplicates. Also provides a quest display for the fall of Winterhold quest.


  -Immersive Jewelry
This patch is out of date but rebuilds the vanilla gem lists so that they do
not exceed 255 items when bash patched. Other features of the patch are
removed as of V15 because the new display system does not require
manual replacement of the static jewelry displays (eg the display models
change dynamically on their own with IJ is loaded).


  -Immersive weapons
Patch provies a handful of unique item displays in the museum, renames all IW
unenchanted copies of unique items to be labeled " Replica " and also
adjusts placements of the mace of Aevar stonesinger and Chrysamere to be
held by IW NPC's but to be the legacy version able to be displayed.
Also adds displays in the main armory for all the material type weapons.

  -Konahrik's Accoutrements
The dragonborn hall adapts to have mannequins for all of the dragon priests
so you can display the armor from this mod. The mannequins are also set
to accept the robes (light or armored) as well as replica dragon priest
masks via the main prep station. Also adds a quest display and related
artifact displays to the hall.


  -Mad Masker
Removes the mad masker shop from Whiterun and places it inside the mind of madness instead. After the Mind of Madness quest, you must have wabbajack equipped and try to equip Pelagius' hip bone anywhere inside the blue palace to get back to the shop. A bed roll beside the shop gets you back. A display area is set up inside the hall of oddities. Additionally the enchanted versions of the masks are removed from the shop and only obtainable through drops. The rusted molag bal armor is purchasable and can be reforged into normal restored armor with the daedric smithing perk. NOTICE: Mad Masker is no longer available from VICN. Legacy support for this mod is still included but no longer supported in any way.

  -Moon and Star
Creates item compatibility and story integration between MAS and Legacy. Ties the acquisition of the moon and star ring for Legacy's shattered legacy quest into the moon and star main quest. This patch also changes the rewards offered by the Nerevarine to: Mace of Slurring, Magebane, or Staff of Hellfire, all ICA custom made, exclusive items
only obtainable with this patch. After choosing the reward, the other two items will be enabled in game to be found.

NOTICE: Because the patch alters legacy and moon and star's main questlines, at bare minimum, MAS and the Legacy patch MUST be installed together at the same time, preferably, the same time as legacy is installed, or at very least either before Shattered legacy is started or after it is done.

  -More interesting Loot
Provides an exhibit space in the hall of oddities for various treasure items,
and gold jeweled weapons and armor. Also adds displays for unique
jewelry added by the mod to the jewelry case as well as new weapons to
the upper gallery and the hall of heroes. The patch replaces all MIL added items which Legacy already places with random high enchanted items of the same type. Preference is for static display vs random drop. Combo patch available for OAP and More interesting Loot which prevents duplicates, consolidates display space and gives priority to unique models and better placements. Priority is Quest->Static placement->MIL random drop uniques. Unique models are set when possible.


  -Morrowloot compatibility
Legacy has integrated support for Morrowloot, Morrowloot 4E, and Morrowloot Ultimate edition as of V15 and does not require a patch. Legacy will
self patch to prevent duplicates and will relocate the legacy placement
of wraithguard to the morrowloot location and replace the Morrowloot
copy of it.
Also note that the Morrowloot stripped plugin provided with V15.0 core is no longer needed on V15.3.2 and later since all it did was address items being added which are now integrated after V15.3.2.


  -New Treasure Hunt
Patch on patch central which adds displays for these 13 new treasure maps in the library stairwell. Proper prep station sorting and MCM checklist added Legacy V19.0.3

  -Oblivion Artifacts Pack
Adds displays in the upper gallery, hall of heroes and library jewelry case. Removed the legacy version of the honorblade of Chorrol. Sets some additional model and texture replacers to unique items. Combo patch available for OAP and More interesting Loot which prevents duplicates, consolidates display space and gives priority to unique models and better placements. Priority is Quest->Static placement->MIL random drop uniques. Unique models are set when possible.

  -Requiem (With Requiem+More Interesting Loot)
Requiem patch adjusted leveled lists, normalizes legacy changes and delevels several legacy assets to be consistent with Requiem. An optional Requiem + More interesting loot variant is also in the package which should be
used in place of the legacy more interesting loot patch and the Requiem
patch as a combination of the two which normalizes changes made in all
three mods to hold more true to Requiem's setup.


  -RS Children
Patch that makes Henry match the kids' appearances from the mod


  -Solitude Compatibility Pack. Includes patches for:
         - True City
         - Complete Solitude
         - Solitude Capital Edition
         - Towns and Villages enhanced
         - Solitude Reborn
         - Open Cities Skyrim
A variety of patches available for various solitude overhauls which
address placement conflicts and re-finalize Navmesh discrepencies.
Please note that you absolutely MUST install the open cities patch on a
fresh game that has never had Open Cities or Legacy run on it before.
Open cities DOES NOT install mid game due to the nature of the changes
it has to make to every major city. Also note that JK Skyrim and JK
solitude have support built into legacy and do not require patches. Dawn
of solitude is also known to work without a patch.


  -Skyrim Unique Treasures
A gallery exhibit opens in the hall of oddities to display all the LORE
FRIENDLY items from SUT. There are no displays for ninja dolls, franklin
mint plates or modern looking banjos


  -Something Fishy
Shelves are placed below the fish tank in the gallery of natural science which displays the fish bowl collection. The bowls are placed and the fish
released into the tank


  -Skyrim Underground
       Patch provided by orian34 which adds additional displays from Skyrim Underground items.

  -Thane Weapons Reborn
       Replaces the generic weapon racks in the main armory next to the hold guard mannequins with dedicated display plaques for TWR's unique weapons. Make sure to remove any weapons from the racks prior to adding TWR to a game in progress.


  -Trophy Heads 
A trophy display for the heads is placed in the hall of secrets across from the contract skulls.

  -Undeath
Provides a quest display for the main quest


  -Vigilant
       Sets a dedicated room in the hall of oddities for dozens of item displays
and several act quest displays. Additional end of mod quest display also added to Dragonborn Hall. Requires patch on patch central.


  -Weapons and Armor Fixes Remade
Ensures that various legacy changes are carried forward and paired with WAFR changes


  -Wheels of Lull
Provides a quest display for the main quest which also acts as a display niche for all of the custom items from the mod. Items can only be displayed after the main quest is complete due to the nature of the display setup.

  -Wyrmstooth
Quest display is added to the Dragonborn Hall and display for 3 unique weapons found during the mod quests. Additionally a dragon claw is added to the main claw display in the hall of heroes. NOTICE: Wyrmstooth is no longer available on the Nexus. The mod author has allowed private sharing of the mod and Legacy support will remain included, but no further support will be given. V1.16 is the final official version of the mod and 1.17a which is also floating around the net is not supported.

Creating Addons for Legacy:

     if you would like to create a fan made addon for Legacy which adds to, expands, or customizes some aspect of the mod, I may be willing to distribute the addon via the patch central page. The mod must use Legacy as a master, cannot alter any core system of the museum or it's main quests, and is requires individual review for my ok. Most the time I'll say yes and point you to the patch team to get it posted just based on concept, but if it's more involved I may need more information from you.

     Here are the steps involved in creating an addon file for Legacy

- Using Wrye Bash you must right click on the LegacyoftheDragonborn.esp and choose "ESM-FY" this turns Legacy's master flag on, but allows it to remain as an ESP file.
- Open LegacyoftheDragonborn.esp in the Creation Kit. You must have all DLCs and have your CK properly configured to open multiple masters. if you don't know what this means, then you probably shouldn't be trying to make a Legacy addon just yet.
- After it loads, save and name your plugin.
- Make whatever changes and additions you had planned and save your file.
- In Wyre Bash, right click on LegacyoftheDragonborn.esp and choose "ESP-FY". This will return Legacy to normal.

IMPORTANT: Any time you EDIT your addon, you MUST have Legacy in ESM-FY mode. If you do not, it will wreck your addon and require a lot of fixing via xEdit to re-merge the data into Legacy as a master. Also note that Legacy should always be in ESP-FY mode when testing in game, otherwise all edits Legacy has made to vanilla content will be undone in game.
